Perimeter Church

Perimeter Church is a megachurch in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia.

For a church, Christmas is the biggest event of the year. It means more attendance, more gatherings, and more activities across the entire church. Every year, Perimeter shares with Braintrust Creative their messaging goals for the holiday season, and they trust the team to build and apply a church-wide visual identity for their Christmas campaign.

Problem

Perimeter wanted a humble look that not only looked to Jesus’ arrival in the past (as is the norm for Christmas campaigns) but also looked to the arrival of Jesus in the future.

Solution

An identity that marries traditional Christmas imagery with modern, forward-looking design choices, while maintaining a humble attitude in all its applications.

Print & Digital Applications

Using the look I laid out in the Style Guide, I designed 70+ print and digital pieces for this project, including:

  • Invitations

  • Devotional booklets

  • Serve guide books

  • T-shirts

  • Promotional graphics

  • Mailers

  • Environmental signage

  • Bulletin shells & inserts

  • Flyers

INSTALLATIONS

Thanks to the creative genius of Drew Kimball (Owner & Principal of Braintrust Creative), my design was applied environmentally in three locations:

  1. Atrium Lobby: four 8 ft. foamcore posters mounted on two portable wooden panels with faux greenery alongside three 8 ft. flocked Christmas trees.

  2. Atrium Lobby Walls: vinyl decals spanning 17 x 16 feet behind a custom-built geometric frame, along with two 12 ft. flocked Christmas trees. The whole thing was lit from lofted RGB LED bars.

  3. Main Sanctuary: custom-built geometric frames mounted with RGB LED strips.

I designed the posters and decals used in the Atrium Lobby and its walls. I also laid out a design system to be used on the back LED wall in the Main Sanctuary. I also assisted in the installation of the Atrium environmentals. Drew handled the rest of the ideation, art direction, and execution.
